TripAdvisor recently named Pittsburgh Pirates' PNC Park as the best place to watch a Major League Baseball Game. Today is Opening Day at PNC Park for another year of Major League Baseball. The Pirates are the oldest sports franchise in Pittsburgh and the fans are quick to break out the Black, Gold and White to cheer for their team on Opening Day. PNC Park offers a first-class baseball experience with breathtaking views of the Roberto Clemente Bridge and downtown Pittsburgh. The bridge is closed on home games so that you can park downtown and walk across the bridge. Or you can travel to the game like the locals do. Park in the back lot, near the Gateway Clipper Fleet, across the river in Station Square. Enjoy one of the many restaurants and bars in Station Square prior to or after the game. Hop one of the boats over from Station Square which is a five minute ride. Fantastic on a warm spring day.
Tickets are available online by clicking here or for a spur of the moment decision, check the ticket kiosks near the stadium. Often times good seats are still available at the regular price on Game Day. The 2014 season officially kicks off today at 1:05pm against the Chicago Cubs and continues through September 21, 2014. Make plans to take in a Pittsburgh Pirate home game and book your stay at a nearby Bed and Breakfast. Go Bucs!!!
