Phillie Pfanatic Back in Action!

The fat furry green bird with a cylindrical beak containing a tongue that sticks out is the Philadelphia Phillies official mascot...the Phillie Pfanatic. He's as much Philadelphia as cheesesteaks, the Liberty Bell, and Rocky Balboa. The Phanatic debuted on April 25, 1978 and was named after Philadelphia's fanatical fans. You'll find him riding in his all-terrain vehicle before the game mixing it up with the opposing players and coaches. With his humorous antics with the fans, he is always searching for a dance partner. Oh, and if you're hungry, he loves shooting cooked hot dogs into the crowd with his four foot long Hot Dog Launcher.

The Phillie Pfanatic brings entertainment and fun to a Philadelphia Phillies game.  He kicked off the 2015 season on April 6 when the Phillies played their first home game at Citizens Bank Park against the Boston Red Sox. The regular home season runs through October 4, 2015. For a calendar of home games and to purchase tickets, click here.
