Take Me Out to the Ballgame 2019

Baseball is one of our favorite pastimes here in Pennsylvania and our ballpark roots are still growing strong. With two Major League teams, the Pittsburgh Pirates and Philadelphia Phillies, as well as nine Minor League teams, our state has a reputation for having some of the most talented baseball players in the world. PA was also the birthplace of the Little League World Series, held in South Williamsport and in 2015, the Red Land Little League from Lewisberry, PA won the National Championship.

So maybe we do have bragging rights. We certainly know how to step up to the plate but we also know how to have fun with it, too, to demonstrate a higher class of sportsmanship, and to fill our ranks with trustworthy, honorable athletes. Check out the complete list of Pennsylvania’s Minor League teams as well as the major league teams, Pirates and Phillies, and plan your next visit to the Pennsylvania ballparks.

MINOR LEAGUE TEAMS

Erie SeaWolves, Erie
Erie’s Minor League Baseball Team, the Erie SeaWolves, have been entertaining their fans as the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers since the mid-90s. Their home field, UPMC Park, is a unique location that features the Bud Light Beer Garden, and the ESPN-ranked First Base Reserved Seats.

Lehigh Valley IronPigs, Allentown
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs make their home at the state-of-the-art stadium, Coca-Cola Park in Allentown, a 8,278-seat baseball park known for its friendly staff, myriad food options, and clean venue. You’re sure to enjoy your Minor League Baseball experience at Coca-Cola Park as it remains the most visited venue in Minor League Baseball since its 2008 opening.

Reading Fightin Phils, Reading
The Reading Fightin Phils make their home in the oldest stadium in the Eastern League, FirstEnergy Stadium. Built in 1967, the same year the Fightin Phils began their longtime affiliation with the Philadelphia Phillies, FirstEnergy Stadium has a reputation as being one of the best stadiums in North America.

Altoona Curve, Altoona
At the Peoples Natural Gas Field, the Pittsburgh Pirates-affiliated team, the Altoona Curve, maintains the legacy of its namesake. Not only named after the cunning of the curveball pitch, the Altoona Curve also draw inspiration for its name from the nearby historic Horseshoe Curve, a National Landmark and an engineering marvel built in 1854.

State College Spikes, University Park
Always pioneers and trailblazers, PA’s world-renowned Penn State University built the first baseball stadium in the world to be certified by the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for green building. The State College Spikes, only eleven years old, make their home at this historic stadium and share it with Penn State’s varsity baseball team.

Williamsport Crosscutters, Williamsport
Williamsport’s BB&T Field is the second-oldest minor league stadium still operating in the United States. The Crosscutters, a Class A Short Season affiliate of the Phillies, had their genesis in 1926, almost a full 100 years ago!

Harrisburg Senators, Harrisburg
At FNB Field on the state capital’s City Island, the Harrisburg Senators entertain Pennsylvania’s capital population with great games, the Capital BlueCross Boardwalk, the fun Kidzone, and beautiful nighttime fireworks that glitter over the wide waters of the Susquehanna River.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders, Moosic
The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders call home Moosic’s PNC Field as well as proudly send players to teams like their Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees.

Lancaster Barnstormers, Lancaster
The Lancaster Barnstormers are an American professional baseball team based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. They are a member of the Freedom Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. From 2005 to the present, the Barnstormers have played their home games at Clipper Magazine Stadium.

A Revs game is always a good source of entertainment for family, friends, clients, employees, clubs, and even your dog (on certain nights!) Special packages and spaces are available for birthday celebrations, picnic outings, and large groups.

MAJOR LEAGUE TEAMS

Pittsburgh Pirates, Pittsburgh
Pennsylvania’s western professional baseball Major League team, the Pittsburgh Pirates, play from their home field of PNC Park. Away from home, though, the Pirates just secured a 4-2 victory over the Cubs Friday afternoon at Wrigley Field in Chicago. Visit the Pirates’ website for a schedule, roster, and more information about the upcoming Major League games.

Philadelphia Phillies, Philadelphia
In the eastern-most region of PA, the Phillies home field is Citizens Bank Park. Besides being one of the most iconic sports brands in the world, the Phillies are the oldest continuous, same-name and city franchise in the history of American sports, having its origin in 1883. Just another claim to fame that Pennsylvania can put in its books. Check the website for more information and a schedule of upcoming games for the Phillies.
