Celebrate RiverFest 2014
RiverFest occurs along the banks of the Susquehanna River and each year, thousands of river enthusiasts turnout to paddle, kayak, canoe and recreate on the waterway. The annual event features musical entertainment, children’s activities and educational programming. Visit the website for a complete list of activities, locations and times. Don’t miss the Dragon Boat Races on Sunday, June 23, from 10:00am – 3:00pm.
Sign-up for a guided river trip. Novices and experienced paddlers and kayakers alike can enjoy all or one of the three guided river trips planned for RiverFest 2014. Guided River Trip dates:
Friday, June 20 – evening paddle from West Pittston to Wilkes-Barre. Shuttle busses leave Nesbitt Park in downtown Wilkes-Barre Friday afternoon at 4:00pm.
Saturday, June 21 – daylong paddle from Harding to Wilkes-Barre (Northern Wyoming Valley). Shuttle busses leave Nesbitt Park at 7:30am.
Sunday, June 22 – daylong paddle from Wilkes-Barre to Hunlock Creek (Southern Wyoming Valley). Shuttle busses leave Hunlock Creek (Drive-Inn Theatre) at 7:45am.
