Battle of Gettysburg Reenactments
During early July, hundreds of volunteers reenact the epic Battle of Gettysburg and re-create the 1860s with encampments, battles, and demonstrations. Get an up-close look at artillery, cavalry, and the lives that infantrymen led during the Civil War. As the largest living history exhibit in the country, this is a must-see at the top of our list. You can also purchase souvenirs and other wares from sutlers that will be on-site for the duration of the reenactment; these traveling merchants would follow the armies and sell supplies to soldiers as needed. 

Adams County Pour Tour
This self-guided journey through the Adams County countryside take you to bountiful orchards, vineyards, and family-owned farms that produce the county’s famous fruit, honey, and grains. Taste a variety of beverages including wines, ciders, spirits, meads, and craft brews. Stop by Gettysburg’s downtown tasting rooms and then follow your trail map as you venture into the scenic landscape of south-central Pennsylvania.
