Pennsylvania Wine Trails

Pennsylvania is home to 14 wine trails and more than 200 wineries.  Beautiful summertime views, rustic and historic tasting rooms all make the scenic Pennsylvania landscape the premier destination for wine-lovers, vineyard regulars, or those simply seeking an exciting and romantic daytime trip. Before you know it, you’ll be standing on the slopes overlooking the fields of Gettysburg, atop a ridge in the wild Poconos, or nestled deep in the tranquility of the western greenwoods with a glass of locally-crafted wine in your hand, of course. Each of the wine trails offer a unique wine-tasting experience.

Southwest Passage

Explore the iconic City of Bridges and its southeast surroundings—as well as the wooded wilderness encompassing the region—in the Southwest Passage Wine Trail. Discover its eight wineries and vineyards, Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater, and the natural and architectural beauty of Pittsburgh the Laurel Highlands region. Christian W. Lake Erie Wine Country

Enjoy the Great Lakes region on a scenic drive through Lake Erie Wine Country. The wine trail consists of 23 wineries in all (and only a few stoplights) on your 50-mile route from Erie, PA to Silver Creek, New York or vice-versa. Start your Lake Erie journey at Mazza Vineyards in North East, home of the state’s top-selling wine and continue on to other Lake Erie Wine Country wineries like Arundel Cellars & Brewing Co., Presque Isle Wine Cellars, and Penn Shore Vineyards.

Uncork the PA Great Outdoors

Take your wine into the wild as you explore the Uncork PA Great Outdoors wine trail. The PA Great Outdoors region includes twenty wineries and breweries in Cameron, Clarion, Elk, Forest, and Jefferson Counties. Start your countryside adventure at Deer Creek Winery, a casual yet elegant space in Shippenville with live music outdoors and free wine tastings. Hershey Harrisburg Wine Trail

Within the rolling green hills around the capital, the Hershey-Harrisburg Wine Trail’s thirteen locations offer picturesque views of Central PA’s beautiful heartland. It’s also conveniently located by some of the state’s (and country’s!) first-rate attractions like Hershey’s Chocolate World and Hersheypark, Lancaster City, 2nd Street’s Restaurant Row in Harrisburg, and local Amish shops in Pennsylvania Dutch Country.  In northwest Lancaster County, the Vineyard at Grandview is your premium southern starting point for the Hershey-Harrisburg Wine Trail. The Vineyard at Grandview has several events throughout the year including the monthly Cigar & Wine Night on the Deck and the annual Fall Bluegrass Concert.

Brandywine Valley Wine Trail

Located between Philadelphia and Lancaster, the Brandywine Valley Wine Trail’s seven wineries are nearby many exciting attractions. Visit featured locations like the Longwood Gardens botanical garden and conservatory, the local and regional collection of art in the Brandywine River Museum, and the charming town of Kennett Square. Lehigh Valley Wine Trail

Home to nine wineries, the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail has also won the PA Governor’s Cup for best wine in nine of the last 10 years. Besides its delicious, unrivaled wine, the Lehigh Valley boasts art galleries, the rich heritage of Bethlehem, and the colorful Crayola Experience. Some of the wineries on this trail are Tolino Vineyards, Pinnacle Ridge, and Big Creek Vineyard. Amore Vineyards & Winery is another one located at the trailhead of the Lehigh Valley Wine Trail in a historic barn overlooking the local landscape of Nazareth. Poconos Wine Trail

In the northeastern reaches of Pennsylvania, the Poconos Wine Trail snake through the beautiful mountain range we call the Pocono Mountains. This steep mountain range is blanketed in greenwoods are home to some of the most picturesque views in the state. Combine the pleasure of wine-tasting with your love of the outdoors, nature, and wildlife on this wild wine trail.  Near the charming town of Jim Thorpe, Big Creek Vineyard is a great location to start your Poconos wine adventure at its Kunkletown headquarters or its Jim Thorpe historic location.
