Ligonier Highland Games

Follow the skirl of bagpipes for the annual gathering of the Clans. Come and celebrate all things Scottish at the Ligonier Highland Games.  The Ligonier Highland Games takes place on September 26, 2015 at Idlewild Park located on U.S. Route 30 just three miles west of the town of Ligonier. 

Experience exciting competitions in: piping and drumming competitions; individual and massed pipe bands on the field; traditional Scottish heavy athletic events tossing the caber, the Scottish hammer throw, sheaf tossing and stone; highland dancing, and Scottish country dancing.

As part of the Ligonier Highland Games, the Scottish Harp Society will host its Celtic Harp competition. Shop for Celtic wares and feast on traditional Scottish foods, snacks and desserts from Gaelic Imports. Visit the Clan tents to explore the history and genealogy of Scotland’s families.  Enjoy international entertainers perform all day.
