Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth in Hershey
Hershey is hosting the chocolate event of the year this month, Chocolate Covered February. With dozens of activities, events, and things to do all involving chocolate in an eclectic mix of forms, you’ll never get bored and the events go on all month long! Try chocolate tea, watch the parade, create your own treats, or even mix chocolate with a beer tasting.
Visit the Museum on Chocolate Avenue for the Hershey Story, an interactive and inspirational account of the life of the man himself, Milton S. Hershey, and the bustling, world-famous town that was named after him. Inside the museum, you’ll find a hands-on Chocolate Lab where you can participate in the “Try it With Truffles” event or the special evening event, “Truffles for Couples” held during Chocolate Covered February. Valentine’s Day gets sweeter with the evening “Truffles for Couples” event, held February 10th to 14th, 6-7PM and 8-9PM. The tickets are $20 per person and everyone will be able to hand-roll and coat dark chocolate ganache in milk and white chocolate. It’s how Milton Hershey started his business and built his reputation, and guests will also learn about the courtship and marriage of Milton to Catherine Hershey. Register online for this event at https://hersheystory.org/.
Chocolate Covered February also has another special night of romance at the Hershey Hotel on February 10th, at 6:30PM. Tickets to the Chocolate Dinner Extraordinary are $94.50 per person and you also have the option to have a wine pairing with the five-course meal in the Castillian Room. Limited seating; reservations are required, call 717-534-8800.
Other events include the Hersheypark Chocolate Parade, chocolate treatments at the Spa at the Hotel Hershey, chocolate and wine pairings, and a cooking class with chef demonstration, and more!
