100th Pennsylvania Farm Show
Pennsylvania is proud to host the largest indoor agricultural exposition in the country, with nearly 6,000 animals, 10,000 competitive exhibits and 300 commercial exhibits. Be one of 400,000 visitors to attend the 100th Pennsylvania Farm Show and learn about Pennsylvania's agricultural industry. Click here for a tentative schedule of events. You'll find all sorts of judging from animals to food to Christmas trees. Food and wine demos, tractor pulls, square dancing and more. One of the most popular attractions is the Food Court located in the Expo Hall and Main Hall of the Complex that offers visitors a variety of Pennsylvania products. You'll find thick milkshakes, the famous baked potatoes, fried mushrooms, potato donuts, apple cider, pulled pork sandwiches and more.
This year's show starts Saturday, January 9 - January 16, 2016 and is open from Noon to 9:00 pm daily. No admission and parking is $15.00. For more information visit www.farmshow.state.pa.us.
To commemorate the 100th year, the Friends of the Farm Show Foundation have published a 176-page hardbound collectible book entitled "Hold Your Horses! The Pennsylvania Farm Show at 100." It depicts the rich and unique history of this annual agricultural exposition and is filled with inspiring stories, interviews and photos. Books can be purchased online.
On Thursday, January 14 is the Celebrity Great Grape Stomp at 5:30 p.m. Attendees to this event have the opportunity to win a $100 gift certificate for a stay at a Pennsylvania Bed & Breakfast.
