Historic Home in the Pocono Mountains

Formerly known as Mauch Chunk, the town Jim Thorpe was named in honor of Jim Thorpe who was a 1912 Olympic Gold medalist and was laid to rest here in 1954. Nestled in the breathtaking Lehigh Gorge, this Victorian town is recognized among the most fun, beautiful and romantic towns to visit that also has an interesting historical past.  Offering four uniquely decorated rooms each with their own private baths, our house is the oldest complete and unchanged home from the early history of Mauch Chunk. Enjoy the gardens and the Gazebo is a great place to relax. Each morning brings an innovative breakfast made from fresh, local ingredients. Located in the Pocono Mountains, Jim Thorpe is the perfect spot for a weekend getaway or extended stay.
